As the most powerful land predator of Central and South America, the jaguar assumed a position of prominence in Pre-Columbian mythology. Revered by some Mesoamerican cultures as the god of war, the jaguar was a religious being associated with the powers of the moon and the secrets of the earth. The jaguar god, along with its counterpart, the eagle/sun god, is the basis of much of Pre-Columbian cosmology.

Our Pre-Coluumbian Jaguar cufflinks, studs and tie tacks depict a snarling, fanged god with a stone cold stare, surrounded by a traditional Pre-Columbian design motif.
