Pirates, as opposed to buccaneers and privateers, attacked ships of all countries, held no commissions, and received no protection from any nation. In the New World, primarily during the 17th and 18th centuries, among the islands of the Caribbean and along the coasts of North and Central America, pirates threatened all shipping that dared to venture within the range of their ships and canons and were universally feared for their atrocities and robberies.
Pirate lore is never complete without mentioning buried treasure. Our Buried Treasure ring features a detailed treasure map with an "X marks the spot," as well as a treasure chest overflowing with jewels and bounty. The fingerhole view is accentuated with pistols and an intricately carved rope design.
