The sun, moon, and stars and their relationship to man have been meticulously chronicled throughout the ages. Dating to the early Sumerians, astrology was the first science and the most important one as it dealt with the relationship among the movements of heavenly bodies and the corresponding forces of nature and other events occurring on earth. Understanding human behavior can be divined through the harmony of the universe. Early Greco-Roman scientific advances were consequences of this universal harmony. Pythagoras, the early mathematician and astrologer, developed the Pythagorean Theorem and the musical scale as logical extensions of his beliefs of harmony in the universe. From The Three Wise Men to Nostradamus and even Isaac Newton and Karl Jung, astrology is based on the theory of the interweaving of inner and outer reality and that the harmony of the universe, of which we are a part, is also a part of us. And so, the sun, moon, and stars and their synchronous relationship to man defines our position in the cosmos.

Our Sun, Moon and Stars ring portrays an intricately carved sun and moon, with human countenances, on opposite sides of the universe, with an infinite, eternal ring of stars surrounding Mother Earth which is represented by the center stone.
