Pirates, as opposed to buccaneers and privateers, attacked ships of all countries, held no commissions, and received no protection from any nation. In the New World, primarily during the 17th and 18th centuries, among the islands of the Caribbean and along the coasts of North and Central America, pirates threatened all shipping that dared to venture within the range of their ships and canons and were universally feared for their atrocities and robberies. Spanish galleons, laden with gold and silver treasures, would sail from the coasts of the Americas, through the Caribbean, and on to Spain. This route came to be known as the Spanish Main.
Sculpted in exquisite detail, our Spanish Galleon cufflinks feature a Spanish treasure galleon plying the waters of the Caribbean.
PLEASE NOTE: ARGENTUM CUFFLINKS COME WITH STERLING SILVER BACKS.
