A true "Renaissance man" of the ages, Thomas Jefferson has made, relative to his time, arguably the greatest intellectual contribution of any man or woman in the history of the United States of America. With a vast understanding of the natural world around him, Thomas Jefferson was a linguist, botanist, inventor, musician, astronomer, mathematician, anthropologist, diplomat, lawyer, surveyor and philosopher. Assuming a pivotal role in the early development of the political institutions of our nation, Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence, served as governor of Virginia, Secretary of State, and as the third President of the United States and established the Democratic Party. As an architect, he designed his famous estate, Monticello, in Virginia, as well as drawing the original plans for the U.S. Capitol building in Washington D.C. He even conceived of the American decimal system upon which our currency is based. Truly, a man with few equals.
Inspired by Thomas Jefferson's personal ring passed down as a Jefferson family heirloom, our Thomas Jefferson band is a heavier, more contemporary version with similar detailed bas-relief carved designs.
